About Sarah
Much of my inspiration comes from the natural world, where I translate color, pattern, and texture into my fused glass creations.
Before becoming a fused glass artist, I trained in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design, earning both an HND and a BA Hons Degree. I later trained as a Secondary School teacher, specializing in Design and Technology—all of which deeply influence my work.
My passion for metalwork is reflected in my glass designs through delicate wire elements and metal leaf accents, creating organic effects with the reactive properties of different glass colours.
My work spans a variety of forms, from wall art and splashbacks to large decorative bowls. The unique qualities of glass allow me to explore diverse techniques—some pieces are sandblasted to reveal intricate details, while others retain their natural shine, depending on the vision for each creation.
Glass and its very special qualities means that don’t feel restricted to one particular style, for example some objects I will sandblast back to reveal its true colours, in detail, whereas others I leave its glorious shine, it just depends on what I feel is needed with each individual piece I produce.

Just home from a wonderful couple of days at Skylark. What a great find! So peaceful & relaxing. Exactly how it’s described & even better than the photos. Super comfy beds & high quality fixture & fittings. We didn’t have great weather but was so cosy. Didn’t want to leave!
